Dexter Hospitality, Inc., a leader in digital and traditional graphic communications services, recently announced that Mark Zimmerman, a veteran technology, marketing and operations executive has been named Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately.

During the first half of his career, Zimmerman immersed himself in the integration of digital marketing and communications technologies into traditional print and media operations, working with companies such as McGraw-Hill, Reader’s Digest, and Dupont. He thereafter expanded into product development, strategy and general management roles for companies seeking to master the growing print-digital media marketplace, including QSP (magazine distribution), IndieMV (mobile video), Nolej Studios (branding), and most recently Envision EMI (experiential education programs). His experience includes the launch of ventures in Canada, Europe and Asia.

“We are very excited to have Mark Zimmerman leading Dexter Hospitality into its new era of growth,” said John Burkhart, Chairman of the Board. “Mark is the exact combination of seasoned executive and savvy leader the Board was looking for. His energetic and decisive leadership style, paired with his proven track record of driving growth is exactly what Dexter Hospitality needs to get on the path to achieving its full potential.”

“Dexter’s clients have for many years counted on Dexter to deliver superior products that enhance their audience’s experience and strengthen those relationships, and Dexter has delivered,” said Zimmerman. “To succeed in a complex hybrid environment will require the market specialization that fosters focus and creativity, superb service and execution, and a truly knowledgeable and dedicated team. Dexter possesses all of those qualities.”

Zimmerman will succeed Burkhart, who has served as Dexter Hospitality’s Chief Executive Officer. Burkhart most recently announced that he will step down from his role as CEO but will remain as Chairman of the Board.
